The EML-AJ combination machine uniquely and perfectly brings together AMADA’s patented dual servo motor punching technology and a quick, integrated hybrid drive fibre optic laser. Designed to minimise manual operations, it is ideal for full-range processing.

VERSATILE TURRET

The 44-station (4 Auto Index) turret has been designed to deliver the utmost flexibility during processing. The integrated 4 tapping stations enable tapping to be incorporated into the punching process, reducing processing and programming times.

AMADA FIBRE LASER ENGINE

AMADA was the first laser machine manufacturer worldwide to develop its own fibre laser engine in-house, specifically designed for cutting. The EML-AJ has a 3 kW fibre engine for a performance 3.3 times greater compared to CO₂ technology and up to 70% less electricity, for high quality processing at very low costs.

SAFETY COVER

The special ergonomics of the fibre laser beam protection system enable manual and automatic load / unload operations without having to remove or open the safety cover.

UNLOADING WORKCHUTE

The large workchute (440 x 1525 mm) ensures the utmost efficiency in processing by allowing the elimination of micro-joints and easy removal of the part.

AUTOMATIC NOZZLE CHANGER

To ensure continuous, automatic machine operation, the EML-AJ has a 4-station automatic nozzle change system which includes a head calibration and nozzle cleaning unit.

INDEPENDENT LASER Y AXIS

During the punching phase, the laser cutting axis is fully isolated from the punching unit structure, avoiding vibrations that could damage the laser cutting head. This is achieved using a unique, independent laser Y axis.

AUTOMATIC TOOL CHANGING (EML-2515AJ PDC)

The Punch Die Changing (PDC) unit can automatically load and unload tools during the punch or laser phase. This allows a free selection of tool position in the turret. Form tools can also be loaded when required and removed immediately after use to eliminate sheet deformation during processing.

SINGLE-MODULE FIBRE LASER ENGINE:

Using a single, 3 kW diode module and no combiner, the quality of the laser beam generated by the EML-AJ is extremely high.

MULTI-TOUCH NUMERICAL CONTROL:

The EML-AJ is equipped with latest-generation AMNC 3i numerical control. The 21.5 inch multi-touch LCD panel, with its user-friendly interface, is simple and intuitive.

MULTI-PURPOSE TURRET:

The EML-AJ is equipped with a multi-purpose turret that also includes 4 dedicated tapping stations, for M2.5 to M8 taps. If no tapping is requires, these 4 stations can be used for standard B-station punching tools.
