AMADA headquarters and factories have not been affected so far

As was reported by radio and the press, last Friday, Japan suffered the largest earthquake in recorded history.

As a subsidiary of a Japanese corporation, we feel closely connected with this country, and our thoughts are with the thousands of victims and their families. According to our Japanese management, there were no personal injuries among the Japanese staff. We received reports of only negligible damage to our buildings.

The region surrounding the headquarters of the Amada Group in Isehara is located to the south-west of Tokyo. Because of their distance of about 500 km from the epicenter, the premises are at this point not affected by the natural disaster. The facility in Isehara is therefore fully operational. Furthermore, there are currently no restrictions to our production.

We will keep you informed of developments at the Japanese parent company.
